Module 1

In  Module 1 we have secured our knowledge of writing a simple sentences ensuring we are remembering to use finger spaces and capital letters.  We have looked at naming different types of words such as nouns and adjectives as well as extending our sentences using the word 'and'.  We have also looked at how to write the beginning, middle and end of a simple story as well as how to write instructions.

Module 2

In Module 2, we have continued to embed our knowledge of what makes a good simple sentence.  We have looked at features of diary writing, fact files and letters and developed our knowledge of these genres through the books of 'Lost at the Toy Museum' by Davd Lucas and 'The day the crayons quit'  by Drew Daywalt.  We have developed our vocabulary through these books especially looking at language to describe emotions.
