In this module, "Being me in my world," we discussed what makes us feel safe, including special people, places, and objects. We explored what makes our classroom a good learning environment, highlighting positive behaviors like not calling out, helping each other, and listening carefully. We also talked about our rights and responsibilities, emphasising our right to learn and the responsibility to support others and makes us proud and created a class charter outlining behaviors that ensure the best learning opportunities. We also shared what it means to be a good person and identified unkind behaviour.
In Module 2, we explored celebrating differences by learning how we are all unique yet share many things in common. We discussed what bullying looks like and how to deal with it by standing up for ourselves and others, showing kindness, and asking for help when needed. Through activities, we practiced how to make new friends, celebrate our differences, and respect each other's feelings. We showcased our understanding of inclusion, kindness, and how to embrace the diversity that makes us special.
