Module 1

Our focus in this module is, 'Place Value'.  We have been practising counting objects and numbers within 10, including counting 1 more or one less and counting from any number.  

This week we have enjoyed comparing numbers and learning words like; 'more, less, the same' and 'greater than, less than and equal to'.  We have participated in lots of practical activities which have involved, grouping, comparing and explaining. 

This week, we focused on comparing numbers using greater than, less than, and equal to. We explored 'part-whole' models and learned about number bonds and fact families, which helped us solve simple 'missing' parts and 'now and then' problems.
