Module 1
Story Vote Station
Every day we vote as a class on the storybook to read at the end of the day. We listen to the book title and blurb to help us decide on which book we want to choose. We compare and count the vote to find the winning book. We can also make suggestions about which book to add to the daily vote.

Applying our phonics sounds
We have been working on applying the sounds we have learnt to read simple words. We segment the words using the sound buttons, saying a sound for each grapheme then blend the sounds we have said to say the word. We are developing our independence in blending the sounds.
DM - Literacy - Reception - Read individual letters by saying the sounds for them. • Blend sounds into words, so that they can read short words made up of known letter-sound correspondences.
