Module 1
Finding insects
In phonics we learnt the sound 'i'. On the sound card is an insect. We learnt that insects have 6 legs. We brainstormed the different insects we know and talked about why a slug or a spider wasn't an insect.
While we were outside, we found a beetle and we knew it was an insect because it had 6 legs! We looked closely using a magnifying glass. We used scissors to cut the grass to make it a home and dinner!
