This year Rolfe formed a team for First Lego League. This group worked on learning how to code and build Lego Spike robots that would solve challenges in the robot game at competition. They also researched the topic of "Submerged: Undersea Exploration" and problems in our ocean. Through their research they then developed an "innovation project" and created a presentation that they shared at the First Lego League competition. Out of 12 teams competing for HCPS, they won third place overall in the robot game and 1st place for their innovation project in the middle school category!
Students learned how to use Lego Spikes to build and code their robots.

Innovation Project
The team researched the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and then developed "B.Y.T.E Robot "(Bio cleaning Your Oceans Through Electronics) to help with pollution.
Competition Day
The group is anxious to see their robot perform the challenges in the Robot Game.
Everyone worked together as they presented their innovation project and talked about their robot design during the Innovation Project Presentation.
