National STEAM Day

Students celebrated National STEAM Day on November 8th, 2021. STEAM stands for "Science, Technology, Arts and Math" all working together to solve problems. Rolfe students learned about the Design Thinking Cycle, an important piece to STEM/STEAM. They tried some different activities to think like a designer and then were invited to participate in the "STEAM Mystery Bag Challenge." See more of the activities from this day below!

Students were invited to participate in the STEAM Mystery Bag Challenge. They received a bag of random materials to see if they could "MacGuyver" a new invention. See our student winner's invention and the challenge below.

Our overall school winner was Kaylee Boone with her invention to help water purification. Hear more about her design in the following video and learn about her creation!
