Projects in Action

These are special projects and events that Rolfe students have participated in this year.

Rolfe Chorus & Band Original Music Video

JRMS Choral and Band students created the original song "We Are A Family" about what it means to be at Rolfe. Hear the voices, see the friendly faces and see a little of the 2020-2021 school year in action.

6th grade science classes test Rolfe's water and examine the creek's critters while on the bus loop.

BWISE Grant in Partnership with Maymont

Rolfe students participated in their third year as part of the NOAA HCPS BWISE (Bay Watershed In Science Education) grant in partnership with Maymont. This year no field trips were conducted, so Maymont came to Rolfe! 6th graders checked the water quality and critters from Rolfe's local marshland and watershed.

One important part of the grant involves the action projects for change to protect our local watersheds. Rolfe's action project involves bringing a recycling program to the school with decorated recycling bins in all the classrooms. This project will continue into next year and impact the school for years to come.

Students deliver recycling boxes to classrooms.

On Wellness Wednesdays, Rolfe students could choose new things to learn and grow. There were live sessions and "Choose Your Own Adventure" activities.
