Before the end of each learning period your CST will arrange a meeting with yourself and the students in your household enrolled at Heartwood Charter School. Please read over these guidelines to find out what to expect.
Meetings may be conducted via:
in-person at a setting agreed upon by the CST and parent/guardian
virtually using Zoom
you must be able to use the camera function with whichever device you are using for the meeting
we do not permit phone call meetings
What to expect during the learning period meeting:
all students within the household enrolled at Heartwood Charter School in grades 4-12 must be available to actively participate in the meeting
students in grades TK-3rd are encouraged to participate in the meeting
your CST will ask various questions and go over topics related to the student's education and material covered during the learning period
Examples of questions that your CST should be asking:
What subjects did you cover during this learning period?
How was time spent covering the courses listed on the master agreement (high school students)?
Can you please show me some of the things that you worked on during this learning period?
What was the most exciting thing that you worked on?
What was the most fascinating thing that you learned?
What are your education plans for the upcoming learning period?
Do you need help with selecting additional material or resources for the upcoming learning period?
How are the classes/courses going with a [vendor name]?
Do you need help coming up with activity ideas or ways of enhancing the education for your household?
