GMS Picture Day was yesterday!  If you still want to order pictures ONLINE, please go to www.pictureswithclass.com, and enter the online password for GMS: 0110693IN.  Online ordering is ONLY available UP TO 24 HOURS after picture day - TODAY, September 1st.  Shipping and handling charges may apply to orders placed after Picture Day.   

• • • If your child was absent, or you don't like his/her picture, we will have picture re-takes on Tuesday, October 24th.

    • If you have an 8th-grade student, the graduation pictures will take place at school on Wednesday, December 6th. This includes poses with students dressed up as well as in a cap and gown. 

No School - As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, September 4th.

Spirit Wear - The PTA spirit wear store is OPEN! - Click here for the clothing options!  We have a spirit day every Friday! 

GMS Open House - we hope you are able to join us for the Golf Open House on Thursday, September 7th, 7:00 - 8:00 pm. We are so grateful this is such a well-attended evening and we look forward to seeing you there!  As a reminder, parking is sometimes tricky. Feel free to use the Bank parking lot as overflow.  

Band and Chorus - Morning rehearsals for Band and Chorus begin next week on WEDNESDAY!  This includes the morning music bus!  In order to be routed on the morning music bus, you needed to indicate that you wanted that service. If you didn't do that, please let Mr. Kohring or Mrs. Bowering know. 

Rehearsals START at 7:30 AM.  Students may enter the building at 7:20 AM to put backpacks and coats in lockers and get to the band room on time.  The weekly schedule will as follows:

• • • • Monday and Wednesday – Concert Band (gr. 7-8) and Cadet Chorus (gr. 5-6)

      • Tuesday and Friday – Cadet Band (gr. 5-6) and Concert Chorus (gr. 7-8)

      • Thursday – Jazz Band (optional gr. 6-8)

Clubs and Music - Many of you have been signing your student(s) up for clubs!  YAY!  While Art Club is completely full, there are many other clubs still available - check out the GMS Music, Clubs and Sports 2023-2024 document for information about the activities, and how to sign-up! 

• Music - Band, Chorus, and Orchestra have links in the document to a google form to sign-up. 

• Clubs - The clubs listed are the clubs being offered this year. Clubs will begin the week of September 11th.

6-8 Grade Girls - Opportunity! - Girls Who Code is a free weekly extracurricular program to introduce middle school female-identifying students (grades 6-8) to computer science and computer programming.  Please click to see the flyer or registration form.

REPEAT - 6th Grade Physicals and Immunizations - As a reminder, it is a requirement for all incoming 6th graders to have their physical and immunizations for school.
