This is certainly a time of great worry and concern for many of our families regarding the conflict in the Middle East. If you did not see the letter from Dr. Coleman sent on Thursday about the War in the Middle East, it includes several resources for parents to talk with children about war and conflict.  Also, keep in mind that students in middle school often have broader access to news, information, and social media, so please continue to monitor their devices. 

Good luck to the Girls' JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams in the Little Nine Conference Tournaments tomorrow morning! 

Parent-teacher conferences will be on Thursday, October 19th from 2:20-8:00 PM and Friday, October 20th from 8:30-11:30 AM.  The conferences are filling up, but there are still spots available on both days - Thursday and Friday.  Sign-up closes on Tuesday, October 17th at Noon.

Girls’ Varsity and JV Basketball - The next sports season us upon us! Tryouts will be Tuesday, October 24th from 3:30-5:00 pm.  If necessary, there may be tryouts on Wednesday, October 25th from 3:30-5:00 pm.  As a reminder, the girls MUST have an up-to-date Physical on file in order to tryout.  If you have any questions here are your contacts:

Lost and Found – It’s amazing how fast the items in lost and found accumulate in a middle school!  If you think your child is missing a sweatshirt, water bottle, notebook, lunch bag, etc. please encourage them to check the lost and found in the front lobby.  We will also have tables set-up during Parent Teacher Conferences. 

Safety Drills - This week we conducted our evacuation drill with the Morton Grove Fire Department, and the kids did an outstanding job!  We got compliments from the fire department and I am proud of how they conducted themselves during this drill.
