Parent-teacher conferences will be NEXT WEEK on Thursday, February 15th from 2:20-8:00 PM and Friday, February 16th from 8:30-11:30 AM.  The conferences are filling up, but there are still spots available on both days - Thursday and Friday.  Sign-up closes on Tuesday, February 13th at Noon.

As always, please know that you can always reach out to a teacher to talk about your student's progress at any time. 

The Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey is available and open to parents until March 29, 2024. To take the survey please visit http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/.  If you have children at both Hynes Elementary School and Golf Middle School, please complete a survey for each school.  The survey gathers data related to five indicators that can predict important student outcomes, including improved attendance and larger test score gains. These five indicators that affect and predict school success are:  

• Effective Leaders

• Collaborative Teachers

• Involved Families

• Supportive Environments

• Ambitious Instruction

REPEAT - School Nurse - Mrs. Shapiro retired and we are securing nurse subs for the next few weeks while we work to hire a new school nurse. If you have any medical notes (i.e. doctor's notes, physicals, eye exams, etc.) please send them to the school office or email them to Ms. Casto (lcasto@golf67.net).  Ms. Casto will temporarily receive all communications regarding health office matters. If you know anyone who is an RN or certified school nurse, please encourage them to apply - school nurse application page and job description.

Reminder - ORDER your YEARBOOK for the 2023-2024 school year!  Parents have the option to purchase a yearbook for $20 AND add on additional options such as iTags (personalized metal stickers to put on the yearbook cover), autograph insert pages, and current event inserts pages. Ongoing reminders... Thank you for helping your middle schooler remember these three things EVERY DAY:

1. 1. 1. Bring a fully CHARGED Chromebook to school.

      2. Wear their school lanyard and student ID to school.

      3. Arrive ON TIME to school. Students should be sitting in their seats by 8:20 am (best to drop off by 8:10 am).
