Breakout Room Broadcasting

This is a tool used by the professor and TA to send a message to all students in their breakout rooms. Please be sure to inform your students where they can see the broadcasted message. It will appear in green across the top of their screen.

1. Once you have started all break out rooms, click on the breakout rooms button. This button looks like 4 boxes and says “breakout rooms” underneath it. This will prompt a pop-up box on your screen that lists all the break out rooms.

2. On the lower left hand corner of the box that appears, you will see a button that says “broadcast message to all” click on this.

3. This will prompt a box for you to type your message in. Type what you want to say and then press the blue button that says broadcast.

4. This will send the message to each breakout room for you. The participants in each breakout room will see the message in green across the top of their screen.

Please note: you are able to broadcast messages as often as you would like and you can change the message you broadcast, if you would like to broadcast a different message than your initial one.
