Setting up Office Hours:
Go to georgetown.zoom.us in the browser of your choice
Sign into Zoom. The sign in button is in the center of your screen.
If you have the app on your computer and are logged in to your Zoom account there, you can skip steps 1 and 2.
Open Canvas as a tab in your browser and log in
Click on the course you want to host the Zoom office hours in
Scroll down to see “Online Office Hours” below your class link and click on the button that says “Create Online Office Hours Meeting”
Below the heading that reads “Online Office Hours you will see a link that says your name. This will be your office hour link. Click on this link when you are ready to start the office hours.
A screen will pop up that says “Launching…” On top of this will be a pop-up box. On the box that pops up, click “Open Zoom”
A new box will pop up, here click “Join with Computer Audio”
When the Office Hour, NOT each meeting with a student is finished, click on the button in the lower right corner of your screen that says “End Meeting”
A box will pop up. Here you will click “End Meeting for All”
Please note: The office hours serve as a continuous Zoom meeting that students join via the same link you do, the link that says your name. In order to set up a waiting room for your office hours and pull the students in one by one, please see the page entitled “Enabling a Waiting Room for Office Hours”
