Open the web browser of your choice and go to Georgetown.zoom.us
In the center of your screen in tiny font, you will see the words “sign in” click this.
If you are not already logged into your zoom account, it will prompt you to do so. If you are already logged in, continue to step 4.
You should now see the screen that has all of your zoom meetings. Above these meetings click the blue button that says “schedule new meeting”
Enter the information for your meeting including the topic, time, and date and click save.
On the screen that you see after saving your meeting, you will see the invite link. You will need to copy and paste this into an email to the person you want to hold a meeting with.
When the time for the meeting comes, go to the meetings button of the Zoom application and click on the meeting. Then click the option that says start meeting. You can also click the link that you emailed to the person you are meeting with.
Locate the Zoom application on your computer. It looks like a blue box with a white camera. Open this application.
If you are not logged in, it will prompt you to do so.
Across the top of the zoom application, you will see four buttons that say “home”, “Chat”, “meetings”, and “contact.” Click on the button that looks like a house and says “home” beneath it.
You will now see a screen with three blue buttons and one orange button. Click on the blue button that looks like a calendar and says “Schedule” beneath it.
Enter the meeting information and click save at the bottom of this screen.
This may prompt a calendar to open. Close out of the calendar and return to the Zoom application.
Go back to the top of the Zoom application and click on the button that looks like a clock and says “meetings” beneath it.
This will take you to your scheduled meetings. Click on the meeting you just created.
After clicking on the meeting you just created, to the right you will see a box that says “copy invitation” Click this button.
Open your email and paste the invitation in an email to the person you want to invite to the meeting.
When the time for the meeting comes, go to the meetings button of the Zoom application and click on the meeting. Then click the option that says start meeting. You can also click the link that you sent in the invitation email.
