1) Login to your canvas account
2) Select the class you want to add the waiting room too
3) On the left hand side, scroll to where it says “Zoom Conferencing” and click on it
4) Scroll down to your class link and hover over it with your mouse. DO NOT click on the link
5) While hovering, a small down arrow should appear. Click on the down arrow
6) In the menu that pops up, click the third option, “open in Zoom site”, this will take you to the Zoom information for your class in your Zoom account.
7) Scroll to the bottom and click “Edit”
8) Scroll to the bottom again and above the “Save” button, you will see the word “Options” immediately to the right of options, click the blue word, “Show”
9) In the box that appears, check the box that says “Waiting room”
a. Note: if this is not under this section, scroll back up to the top 1/3 of the page and you should see “Waiting rooms” located there as its own category. Different browsers put the location in different spots.
10) Scroll to the bottom and click “Save”
