Being a good leader means being personable enough for others to follow you, whilst having the critical thinking skills to know the best way to achieve the goal being pursued. Being a good leader means being able to take a lead in a group of people and communicating instructions clearly whilst understanding different ways to motivate people.
Leadership captures the essentials of being able and prepared to inspire others.
You can be a leader in any industry/career you are in. It is about brining together a team, setting goals and motivating the team to achieve those goals. You may also not have an official 'leader' role but people want to work with you and follow your lead because of your natural leadership skills and motivation.

A great way to develop your leadership skills are through team sports, hobbies or doing things to help motivated your friends and family.

Practice your communication skills with friends and family, good leaders are great at communicating and sound confident in doing so. This helps you to easily pass information on to others and for them to understand the ask.
Leading on a college project in one of your classes, this could be during steps to success, student parliament, course Rep, or assignment.
Continue your professional development, this starts in college. You want to find an opportunity for an industry placement and take part in learning opportunities/courses such as Your Game Plan. You gain many life and work skills undergoing professional develop which are important in becoming a leader.
