MARKETING Curriculum

Students will evaluate career information and learn the different forms of business organization and how they operate. Emphasis is placed on the impact of technology on business organization, human resources, marketing, and finance. Each student develops a business plan.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT Curriculum

Sports and Entertainment Marketing is a course that is designed for students interested in sports, entertainment and event marketing. Emphasis is placed on the following principles as they apply to the industry: branding, licensing and naming rights; business foundations; concessions and on-site merchandising; economic foundations; promotion; safety and security; and human relations.

Business Law and Ethics is designed to describe laws and regulations affecting business operations and transactions. The course will provide an overview of contract law, ethical decision-making frameworks, and employment law. Students will examine ethical issues, and apply multiple theories of ethical analysis to such issues. The course will also focus on the planning, monitoring, and managing of day-to-day business activities to foster a healthy and safe work environment.
BUSINESS LAW AND ETHICS Curriculum

Fundamentals of Business is designed for students who have an interest in exploring 21st century business operation. The goals of this course are to introduce students to the different internal and external elements of a business and the context in which a business operates. Fundamentals of Business explores common elements and characteristics of business such as marketing, accounting, economics, management, technology, and ethics. Topics are grouped in occupational clusters to assist students in choosing pathways of interest for college and/or a career.

This course is required for graduation, and will emphasize finance, economics, business, and entrepreneurial literacy as it applies to everyday life situations. Personal decision-making regarding budgeting, career choices, investments, loans and insurance will be covered.
FINANCIAL LITERACY Curriculum

Accounting I is an introductory course in which students study foundational accounting principles, techniques, and concepts. Students will learn how to prepare, manage, and analyze various financial records, while working in the constraints of the law. They will identify problems and develop solutions to these problems. Students will demonstrate their understanding through real-world projects and simulations.
Accounting 1 Curriculum
5 Credits, Grades 10 - 12
Students will develop proficiency with Photoshop®, Illustrator®, Dreamweaver®, Flash®, and InDesign®. Students learn to create web sites, create and manipulate graphic/photo images, animate graphics, and design professional multimedia and print publications.
WEB AND MEDIA DESIGN Curriculum
The IB Diploma Programme information technology in a global society (ITGS) course is the study and evaluation of the impacts of information technology (IT) on individuals and society. It explores the advantages and disadvantages of the access and use of digitized information at the local and global level. ITGS provides a framework for the student to make informed judgments and decisions about the use of IT within social contexts.
