At the end of kindergarten students are expected to be fluent with addition and subtraction facts within 5. This means addition facts in which the answer is 5 or less and subtraction facts where the total started with is 5 or less. Fluent means that a child can recall the fact within several seconds without the use of fingers, manipulatives or counting. Below are links to addition and subtraction flash cards and fun games you can print and practice at home. Also, please be sure to follow the navigation button to read more about why it is so important for students to develop math fact fluency.Â
