Students may choose to attend a live lesson for collaboration credit, while in English 1. Live lessons are not required, but all students are encouraged to attend a live lesson. Our schoolhouse offers live lessons via Zoom, Monday - Thursday each week. All live lesson teams (2-3 partners) will teach 2-3 live lessons per month.

Load the PowerPoint Presentation
Teach the lesson
Share videos, polling, etc.
Be on the computer and have the ability to give resources and jump between break out rooms as needed.
Present if the presenter is out for an emergency. Please be prepared to be the presenter and we will strive to have another chat moderator for your lesson.
Start/stop the recording.
Admit students from the waiting room.
Monitor the chat box and answer questions, if needed. Encourage students.
Be on the computer to present and assist students as needed.
If for some reason you cannot attend your scheduled live lesson, please find coverage for your lesson.
Check with your partner as they may be willing to teach the lesson.
Ask your pod if anyone is willing to switch live lessons. If you do this, please send your live lesson to the covering teacher.
Let your TOA know about this change so we can be sure our calendar reflects the host changes.
When requesting time off, please be sure to check your live lesson schedule and notify your partner and Vanessa immediately.
Please note, we offer these lessons for our students so cancellations should be the very last option.
