Our son Logan is a senior classman this school year. He has been a student at FA Douglas since Kindergarten. We glorify our good God for his providence in going before us to choose the best possible education for him. He has grown just as Luke 2:52 reminds us in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man. We are very thankful for the dedicated staff who have poured into him not only Biblical worldview academics but also spiritual growth, athletic growth, and countless life lessons. He has always been well-loved at FA and guided along with our family's faith.--Melody James, mother of Logan James
We have loved First Academy since Rilynn started two years ago. All of her teachers have been so sweet. First Academy has been the best decision for her and our family. She learns, plays, goes to chapel, and overall has fun. We do not have to worry if she is taken care of, because we know she is. Having peace knowing your child is safe is the most comforting feeling. We also love all the activities that we get to attend to make memories and feel involved in her everyday school routine!--Payton Ryles, parent of Rilynn Joyner
We Love this school. Aleena has been going here 3 years and she will continue to attend. It is the best school around.--Amanda Howell, parent of Aleena Howell
I am so thankful for the Christian values and exceptional education my children have received at FA! As a 3-year-old, my child could recite the Lord's prayer, and in Pre-k she can recite all of Psalm 23. She talks about Jesus every day, and I will be forever appreciative for the firm foundation created at FA! -- Amanda Wooditch, mother of Millie and Connor Wooditch
My son was significantly delayed due to cancer treatments at a young age. He attended public school, PK3 - PK5, through the Babies Can't Wait program. He attended regular pre-K when he was old enough to attend. However, he was always kept in a seclusion class for children that required additional assistance. One school refused to graduate my son out of Pre-K and into Kindergarten because he was non-verbal. When I first started looking for alternative schools, I went to a couple schools who refused to take our son due to his "disabilities".
Finally, when I thought there were no other options, a friend told me about First Academy. Immediately upon entering the halls of First Academy, I knew we had found our second home! FA accepted CJ immediately for his kindergarten year and CJ was speaking in full sentences by Christmas. FA has never treated my son any differently than any other child and he has flourished into a steady A/B student. We love FA and can't say enough about the positive, God-loving, higher-learning environment our son has enjoyed over the last five years!
-- Christina Fletcher, parent of CJ Fletcher
From the beginning, First Academy has felt like more than just a school- it's been a supportive community for my children and our family. They truly go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment where growth is encouraged. I've watched our children gain confidence, develop a love for learning and build meaningful friendships. The positive influence of FA has truly shaped who our kids are becoming. I would wholeheartedly recommend FA to any family looking for a school that prioritizes both education and values. - Kasey & Courtney Crews, mother and father to Kason (4th), Kinsley (2nd) and Rip (Pre-k) Crews
We love First Academy! The administration is intentional about ensuring inclusiveness, which is vital in a classroom environment. The teachers have excellent communication skills and prioritize student well-being. My children love their teachers and feel so loved back! First Academy is a blessing to our community and my family.--Whitney Batson, parent of Graham and Bren Batson
This was Josie's first year attending school and she has absolutely loved every minute at First Academy! We are so thankful for her sweet teachers and all the staff. Josie comes home every day with a big smile on her face and she loves all the fun, educational activities they do while at school. We cannot thank you all enough for making First Academy such a safe, loving, and educational school for all children. --Breanna Ware, mother of Josie Ware
FA has been the best decision we could have made to help shape and grow our girls. Knowing daily they are surrounded by the word of God, a biblical worldview, and loving teachers is the greatest comfort as parents. -- Elizabeth Burnam, parent of Lhuillier and Florence Burnam
We have been with First Academy for two years. The amount of love, kindness, and time poured into our children have gone above any and all expectations! From learning Bible verses to the Fruit of the Spirit has inspired my walk with Christ. The teachers and staff are hand-picked from God, especially our school nurse, Mrs. Katie. She is loving and so dedicated to keep my children's type one diabetes under constant care. We love it here at First Academy and cannot wait for the upcoming growth.
-- Daniel and Danielle Lastinger, parents of Aiden and Raelynn Lastinger
We are so blessed and thankful to be a part of a wonderful group of teachers. Jesus is in our children's daily vocabulary and they are excelling in their academics. I would highly recommend First Academy to other families. -Misty & Grant Grantham mother and father to Stella Grantham, Cooper Grantham, and River Grantham
First Academy is biblically-focused, which is what makes First Academy great for our family.--Shannyn Stuckey, mother of Maisyn and Peytyn
Alivia has enjoyed attending school at First Academy. Her teachers have taught self-reliance, academics, and proper interaction with adults and children. I am impressed that her teachers personally contact me about any situation that I need to be aware of. I was also very impressed that her teacher reached out to me after Helene to check on our welfare and damage.--Andi-Jo Anderson, parent of Alivia Johnson
Paisley has really enjoyed school at First Academy this year. Paisley has learned so much and I thank Mrs. Tina and Ms. Kenzie. I'm excited to see what she learns next year. --Marsha Cumbass, great-grandmother of Paisley Cumbass
Our daughter's time at FA has been a truly joyful and nurturing experience. Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Beverly create a warm, faith-filled environment where our child has grown spiritually, emotionally, and we couldn't be more grateful for the foundation they have built.--Cody and Whitney Phillips, parents of Adalyn Ward Phillips
Memphis has attended FA since she was 15 months old and in the one year old class. We have had nothing but sweet years while she's been in pre-school here. She will attend next year as a kindergarten student, and I am certain that next year will be as wonderful as the others. To watch your child grow not only academically, but also spiritually because of staff that is spirit led and a curriculum that excels them, is unmatched. We hope to forever be "Lions."
-- Laura Manac, parent of Memphis Manac
