January☃️
By Kaisley Wilson
In Ms. Molly’s Pre-K class, they will be learning important themes like transportation, community, numbers and counting, and money. Along with these themes, they will learn about Bible stories and letters that connect back to the themes. Ms. Molly’s main goal is to teach her students the importance of God’s Word. For example, they will be learning about Jesus traveling to Egypt and growing up to do His Father’s work, the Ten Commandments, and the story of the Lost Coin. The letters that they will learn are the letters D, P, J, and B, along with numbers 13-16. The fun dress-up days that Pre-K will have this month are Mitten Day, Pizza Parade, 100th Day of School, 101st Day, and Brownies and Bubbles Day.
In Mrs. DeLaina's Pre-K class, the students are looking forward to making snow as they learn about winter, arctic animals, and igloos. They are also learning about all the community helpers and the different types of transportation. Mrs. DeLaina’s class, through the world of their imagination, have gone on several different adventures. These adventures include going on plane, bus, and boat rides. How fun! So far in January, they have been learning the letter P. They will celebrate their new accomplishment by having a “P” parade where the students can dress up as pigs, penguins, and police officers. They will finish off by making yummy pizzas. During their Bible time, Mrs. DeLaina has taught them about how Jesus traveled to Egypt, alongside his parents, because of King Herod's threat to kill him. These students have also learned how Jesus was busy about his Father’s business even when he was only 12 years old. As they continue through the month of January, they will continue to learn Bible stories about the Ten Commandments and the Lost Coin, along with learning.
Ms. Molly's class enjoyed their fun at the "P" Parade!

🌰November
On November 17-21, both Mrs. DeLaina's and Ms. Molly's classes are learning about the widow and Elijah in the Bible. During these Bible lessons, they teach their students to trust in God and to give their lives to him, just as the widow did. This week in Mrs. DeLaina's class, they are learning the lower-case letters "a," "d," and "g". They are also learning the number "11" and practicing counting to 100, along with sight words. Ms. Molly is teaching her class the capital and lowercase "S" and the number "12". Mrs. DeLaina is also teaching her class about the first Thanksgiving, and both classes are learning how to be thankful. They will end their thankful week with a Thanksgiving Feast on Friday.
Miss Molly's class celebrated "O" with pumpkins and orange colors.
Mrs DeLaina's class learned the letter T.
Mrs Molly's class learned about the letter "U" on Thursday, October 9th. They practiced milking cows while learning the alphabet .
On the 16th of this month, Mrs. Beth Greene came to visit her grandson's class and read two wonderful books about spiders!
Our preschoolers have been learning all about the number 8 this week and what better way to connect it than with spiders and their eight legs?!
In Bible time, they've also been talking about Noah's Ark, exploring how God made both big animals, like gorillas and elephants, and tiny creatures, like birds and spiders.
Thank you, Mrs. Beth, for make learning so much fun!
Miss Molly and Mrs. Laura's Pre-K class investigated what's inside of a pumpkin and taste tested 2 different pumpkin treats! They also read the Parable of the Sower, so they observed how 4 different materials affected a pumpkin candy, just as the 4 different soils affected the seed growth in the parable.🍁🍂
