Horse Racer
I won my first belt buckle in barrel racing last week. I have been barrel racing for about a year. Before that, I learned to ride horses with Ms. Sandra Sears. After the hurricane, Ms. Sandra stopped doing as many lessons, so I started training barrels with Taylor Carver, and here we are!
Pianist
I practically taught myself piano with the help of my mom. I play by ear. My favorite type of music to play is gospel music.
Pre-K Teacher
I am a Pre-K Teacher, and I can split an apple with my hands.
Metal worker
I have been doing my business (James Fabrication) for around a year now. I learned all of my skills from my father, a metal worker.
Ukulele Player
I have been playing the ukulele ever since the 3rd grade, and I learned it from Gina Labourd.
Scientist
Isaac conducted a try-it-yourself experiment at home. He conducted the "Shake Up Soil" experiment that demonstrated the different layers of soil, then shared his results in class.
Resin Artist
I've always loved art, and I've done arts and crafts my whole life. Once I discovered resin, I enjoyed it so much that I primarily work with the resin medium. I've been working with the resin for over ten years.
Genealogist
My sister got me started in genealogy when I was 14. She had to search the hard way: either go physically to the library, courthouse, or graveyard and get the information or write to various places. Ancestry and similar sites have made family history so much easier now. I have published and shared my family's history with each of my branches now. It's addictive--like putting a puzzle together!
Gymnast
Kaylee has been taking gymnastics since she was three years old! She excels at the bars.
Drummer and Artist
I'm learning drums from Pastor Van and have been learning for about two years now. As a self-taught artist, I've been playing for a longer while, maybe seven or eight years.
