The Exhibition Brief (sometimes called the Developer's Brief or Concept Brief) is an overview document that compiles essential information about the proposed exhibition.
It serves as a generalized road map for the project for Exhibition team members and Directors, but may also be presented to VPs, Board members, potential institutional partners, community members, or donor prospects.
A single document containing the following information:
Big picture content arc/approach
Outside partners (either institutions or individuals)
Visitor experience goals (sensory-motor, affective, cognitive))
Exhibition narrative/walkthrough
Bubble plan for the exhibition overall (and sometimes additional individual bubble plans for each of its main sections or galleries
Visitor research, if available
A rough description of object scope, including images of relevant objects
Survey of related FM resources (expertise, collections, exhibitions)
Design inspiration provided by Design Director
