Her eyes burn with a malicious, solid neon-red light, and her fingers end in elongated, needle-sharp dark talons. She is typically depicted in a dim, purple-lit cavern surrounded by swarming normal spiders.

• The Sundering: Lolth was once Araushnee, the Weaver of Destiny and consort of Corellon Larethian. Driven by a burning ambition to elevate the drow above all races, she orchestrated a great planar coup against the Seldarine. When her treachery was exposed, Corellon banished her to the Abyss, where she transformed into her spider form. She embraced the dark of the Demonweb Pits, turning her exile into a throne of betrayal and absolute drow dominance.
