Name: El
Pantheon: The Core Pantheon
Titles & Aliases: High God of Life & Society, The World-Mother, The Great-Birther, Efil (Ancient 2nd World Form).
Gender / Form: Female.
Divine Form: She manifests as an exquisitely graceful, voluptuous elf woman suspended or dancing weightlessly in mid-air. She is clad in a pristine, layered white gown featuring an intricate golden-trimmed bodice structured like stylized feather or leaf plumage. She wears long, matching white silk sashes that billow from her arms and waist like trailing ribbons of pure light, held in place by heavy golden bracelets and armlets. Her dark hair is styled in a regal updo secured with elaborate golden filigree hairpins. Accompanying her is the floating Mirror of Efil—a magnificent, circular golden talisman framed by metallic butterfly wings and looping scrollwork.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Status: High Goddess of the Pillar of Life.
Divine Realm: Haritākāśa (The Green Moon).
Primary Domains: Life, Healing, Fertility, Motherhood, Family, Children, and Flora & Fauna.
Portfolio: The raw spark of life in all things, physical and biological healing, midwives, the preservation of families, protection of children, and the lifeforce running through all nature.
Cleric Domains (5e): Forge, Life, Light, Nature, Order, Peace, & Protection.
Holy Symbol: An etching of a Daffodil in bloom, set inside a simple disc, or a golden butterfly mirror.
Favored Weapon: The Quarterstaff (treated strictly as a peaceful walking stick).
Favored Colors: Spring Green, Sky Blue, and Daffodil Yellow.
Sacred Animals / Plants: The Rabbit (fertility), the Deer (gentleness), and the Daffodil.
Core Dogma: "Life is the Great Prize. It is the holiest state of being. Create it. Nurture it. Protect it. Heal it. Do not destroy it, for that is the one, great sin. Good, Evil, Law, Chaos... these are the fleeting concerns of a single life. The act of Life is eternal and paramount."
Tenets for Followers:
"Thou shalt bring new life into the world."
"Thou shalt heal the sick and wounded."
"Thou shalt protect the pregnant, the mother, and the child."
"Thou shalt nurture the flora and fauna of the world, for they are the vessels of life."
Sins & Taboos:
"To destroy life for any reason. This is the great, ultimate sin."
"To deny healing to one who actively asks for it."
"To wantonly destroy a forest, field, or river (the cradles of life)."
Pillar Alignment: As the High Goddess of the Pillar of Life, she acts to sustain lifeforces across the planes. She makes every effort to bring life into the places where there was none. She is responsible for the creation of Stars and Planets to provide new places for people to live and create more life.
Subordinates:
Major Gods: Celo (Weather), Reth (Storms), and Thasa (Animals).
Gods: Amini, Eillainki, Eisa, Lilino, Lolth, Nira, No'Mitra, Noi, and Uriku.
Predecessor & Trans-World Connections:
Efil (2nd World): El is the direct evolution of the ancient goddess Efil (Life spelled backward). In the 2nd World, Efil was a primordial entity of raw biological procreation. In the 5th World, El transformed this energy into a structured civilizational engine.
Name of the Church: The Hearth of Life (The Mother's Touch).
Worshipper Base: Midwives, parents, rural farmers, urban social workers, and dedicated healers.
Temple Description: Gleaming, pristine stone structures that double as local community hospitals, orphanages, and sprawling greenhouses. They are filled with running water and lush flora.
The War of the Barren: When a forgotten, dark deity attempted to render the material plane entirely sterile, El did not launch an army. Instead, she quietly walked the dying lands in her white vestments, sparking life and floral blooms so quickly that the sterility was completely overwhelmed.
