Name: Lom (L'om)
Pantheon: The Core Pantheon
Titles & Aliases: God of Good, Justice, Peace, and Honesty; The Source of Good; The Shining Beacon; The Honest God; Larom's Pure Core (2nd World Link).
Gender / Form: Male (He/Him). He manifests as a statuesque, impossibly flawless humanoid figure with long, fine platinum-blonde hair cascading gracefully down his shoulders. He is clad in immaculate, multilayered robes of cream and soft linen-white, elegantly trimmed with wide borders of rich, embroidered golden silk thread. He stands weightlessly or barefoot upon large sylvan green lily pads floating on the mirrored surface of a peaceful lake filled with blooming pink lotuses. His eyes are downcast in serene reflection, and his hands are pressed together in front of his chest in quiet prayer. Radiating directly behind his head is a massive, highly ornate golden sun halo carefully sculpted to resemble the pointed petals of a grand sunflower in full bloom.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Status: God in the Pillar of Life.
Divine Realm: Lumen Absolutum (The Unshadowed Light).
Primary Domains: Good, Justice, Peace, and Honesty.
Portfolio: Absolute goodness, moral honesty, just actions, and inspiring mortals to maintain their virtue and integrity in dark times.
Cleric Domains (5e): Light.
Holy Symbol: The horizon with the sun and both moons rising at once (representing perfect light and sylvan harmony), or a white-robed monk framed by a sunflower halo.
Favored Weapon: None. His clerics favor heavy shields for protection and simple maces meant to subdue rather than kill.
Favored Colors: Gold and white.
Sacred Animals / Plants: The Unicorn and the Sunflower.
Core Dogma: "Goodness is not passivity. Just being good in a good world is meaningless; goodness only truly shines in the presence of evil. Be that light. Be honest. Be just. Speak the truth without fear, act with total honesty, and remember that goodness is defined when it is difficult."
Tenets for Followers:
"Be honest in all things. A lie is a shadow upon your character."
"Be a beacon. Act with goodness in dark places to inspire those around you."
"Promote the common good of all, never just your own sylvan path."
Sins & Taboos:
"To tell a lie (The Sin of the Shadow)."
"To allow evil to flourish through passivity or cowardice."
Pillar Alignment: A God in the Pillar of Life under El. He reports conceptually to Yim (Major God of Peace) to preserve order in sylvan societies, giving him direct sylvan leeway under Senzyn's High Pillar of Order to actively prosecute corruption.
Adversaries: Nis (God of Lies). Nis is his absolute arch-nemesis; their domains of pure truth and total deceit are in constant cosmological conflict.
Predecessor & Trans-World Connections:
Larom (2nd World): Lom is a direct shard of the ancient greater deity Larom (the source of all goodness). When Larom shattered, Lom inherited his strict, unyielding moral stance, his sworn blood-feud against Nis, and his role as an absolute beacon of virtue.
Name of the Church: The Shining Beacon (The Order of the Honest Light).
Temple Description: Spotless white marble halls with high glass ceilings and giant mirrors of polished steel along the walls.
The Splintering of the Core: Lom was born from the pure, unyielding core of the ancient 2nd World deity Larom. When Larom shattered during the cosmic transition, his compassionate sylvan mercy and desire to save the fallen ascended into Alsaria, while his strict, moral truth and absolute honesty coalesced into Lom. Lom's first act as a Major God was to establish the Mirror of Truth, placing it at the gates of his sylvan court to ensure that no lie or false virtue could ever cross his threshold. His eternal blood-feud with Nis began on that day, as Nis attempted to corrupt the mirror with a sylvan whisper.
