SAVE THE DATE! Our classroom Exhibition of Learning (EoL) is on January 14th from 9:30-10:30am in the school cafeteria. More info will be sent home next week.
If you have not yet signed up for a Presentations of Learning (PoL) please make sure to choose a time on skyward as soon as you can.
If you would like to volunteer during our classroom reading block, and have an approved background check, you can sign up to volunteer HERE. It automatically sends me an email when you sign up so there is no need to tell me as well. When you arrive to volunteer, stop in the office to sign in and grab a visitor badge before you come to the classroom. You will need to return the badge and sign out when you leave.
CLICK HERE if you would like to view the school lunch menu.
We aren't quite ready for the next math home learning pages so you can take the week off for math or catch up on the pages 1-34 that we've already covered! Some reading groups received new books in their Friday folders to practice at home. If your child did not receive anything new for reading please keep working on the items i've previously sent home.
We have started working on our final projects for our insect unit. One of our final projects will be creating an Eric Carle inspired insect using collaged painted paper. To start our final project we had two painting days to create all of the paper that we will use to make our insects. A HUGE thank you to all the parents that came to help!
We finished our study of ladybugs. First, we learned about their life cycle, attributes, and some fun facts. Then, we learned about the artist Wassily Kandinsky. He was most known for his use of shapes and colors in his art work. We painted ladybugs in the style of Kandinsky and added them to art insect art wall!
