Writing

Let's learn a little bit about writing in kindergarten! By the end of kindergarten, students are expected to write a full sentence on their own including the following: capital letter in proper location, finger spaces, punctuation, high frequency words spelled correctly, other words decoded with sound correspondence, and pictures that show "who, what, and where". As you can see.. this is A LOT; however, seeing a child's writing growth from the beginning of the year to end is one of my favorite parts of kindergarten.
