Poetry Slam 2022
Since 2006, the Summer Honors Creative Writing Class has hosted a Poetry Slam. Students compete with original poems and read them for all of the students in the program. This year there were 23 participants. Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place; this year, participants were entered into a drawing for the prizes. A new award was added this year, The Yukon, which is given to the funniest poem. The 1st place winner also becomes the keeper of the coveted Cherry Cola Crown.
