Recording Vocals on your Computer

For this part of your project you will need to use headphones.

Otherwise, the microphone will often pick up the sounds from the speakers, creating a feedback loop.

Steps:

• Log into your project on soundtrap.com
• Open your project in studio
• Once your project is open, click "Add a New Track"

• Select "Voice and Microphones"

• It is imporant to test your vocals before you start recording.
• Click on "Vocal Test"

• The audio test will prompt you to sing to check for levels.
• Now you are ready to record.
• I suggest you turn on the metronome so you can hear the 8 beats of click before the song begins.

Adding Autotune

• If you would like to add autotune to your vocals, just hover over the region you wish to auto-tune, click EDIT (1) and choose Auto-Tune® (2).
