Assignment #10: Chord Progression I V vi IV
In this assignment you will be creating a I V vi IV chord progression for two sets of instruments: 1) guitar and 2) keyboard.
You will make the guitar part using loops.
You will make the keyboard part by playing and recording yourself playing each chord.
You can use the beat in the project or find/create one of your own.
Create a chord progression that follows the common pop standard I V vi IV:
C G A minor (Am) F
Requirements:
The piece should be at least 8 measures long
There must be a beat (use the one already there or make your own)
A guitar part made of loops that plays the I V vi IV chord progression (C G Am F).
A keyboard part (played by you) that plays the I V vi IV chord progression (C G Am F).

Attach the MP3 to you Google Classroom assignment (it isn't complete until you attach it and hit "Turn In").
Using the Loops:
You can find each of the chords in the loops section of Soundtrap.
Click on the loops icon, then guitar.
You will find a list of guitar loops. The name of the Chord will be at the end of the loop name.
Drag each chord into the project and then shorten it using first the loop tool, then the adjuster.
Each chord should last one or two measures.
Playing chords on the Keyboard
Now you can play the chords of the I V vi IV chord progression
Click "Add new Track" and choose "pianos and keyboard.
Use the keys of the computer to find the correct notes to play.
Set the loop tool to one or two measures.
Record yourself playing each chord along with the guitar loops.
