Commencing year 11, students must choose one of two senior secondary courses of study, with the aim of obtaining either the VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) or VCE-VM (Victorian Certificate of Education - Vocational Major). VET (Vocational Education and Training) studies are further tertiary courses that can be included as credit studies in both VCE and VCE-VM. In short, students have to make two very clear choices in Year 11, VCE-VM or VCE. This decision is a big one and should never be made without first considering the Post School Destinations a student is interested in.
