Year 10 Physics is a semester long elective that provides an introduction into specalised scientific content, knowledge and skills required for VCE Physics Units 1-4 . For students considering a pathway in to VCE Units 1-4 Physics, year 10 Physics is a prerequisite.
Student learning focusses on Physics, the Universe and Science skills. Students investigated how motion can be described using Newton’s three laws of motion, with a focus on reducing the impact of car crashes. Students complete practical tasks to reinforce and support theoretical understanding, and learned about writing practical reports in an appropriate scientific format. Students investigated the Universe by exploring the lifecycle of stars and the Big Bang theory.
