Year 9
Our new Year 9 'Choice ' program provides students with a greater range of elective subjects that can be tailored to their individual interests. These elective offerings, combined with mandatory 'Core' Units (English, Mathematics and Science) provide a more engaging and rewarding educational experience for our students.
Year 10
For most year 9 students, preparing for year 10 is fairly simple. A mainstream course of study will involve a mix of core and elective subjects, all designed to adequately prepare them for year 11 and 12. However, there are some variations available for those who are a little further along in their career planning.
Year 11
Vocational Education and Training refers to senior school studies, which enable a secondary student to add a nationally accredited qualification to their VCE or VCAL studies. Compulsory for VCAL students, optional for VCE and a fantastic way to explore a wide range of industries during the senior school years.
Year 12
A growing number of school leavers are finding that TAFE offers a far more practical start to their studies and in most cases, a much more affordable option too! For students seeking a more practical learning focus and entry into TAFE, VCAL can offer a great alternative to the VCE and allows students to gain valuable industry experience before completing school and moving into the workforce.
