VCE
As a general rule, most students who wish to pursue a degree or diploma will be satisfied with a VCE program and will sit exams for an ATAR. Many will even consider choosing one subject in year 10, provided their work ethic and academic progress is sufficient. Remember, a year 12 pass alone (Unscored VCE) will not allow direct access to University, an ATAR is generally required.
VET
Vocational Education and Training refers to senior school studies, which enable a secondary student to add a nationally accredited qualification to their VCE or VCE-VM studies. Compulsory for VCE-VM students, optional for VCE and a fantastic way to explore a wide range of industries during the senior school years.
VCE-VM
A growing number of school leavers are finding that TAFE offers a far more practical start to their studies and in most cases, a much more affordable option too! For students seeking a more practical learning focus and entry into TAFE, VCE-VM can offer a great alternative to the VCE and allows students to gain valuable industry experience before completing school and moving into the workforce.
VPC
Suitable only for a smaller number of students who are unable to complete either the VCE or VCE-VM. The VPC has flexible entry and completion times and can assist students to transition into senior secondary certificates, entry level VET or employment.
