This presentation and YouTube video covers the major topics of the Evolution of Software Aplications topic, including Command line interface, GUI interface, search engines, VisiCalc, web browsers, presentation software, email, and social networking applications. These are the content areas in the syllabus.

Summary:

Computing as we know it has evolved from a few key developments. These presentations give a brief overview of them. The most important of these (in this teacher's opinion, and I am happy to be corrected) is VisiCalc, because this one application gave businesses a reason to look at computers and computing technologies to complete work more efficiently.
