You may think VOIP is a dead protocol, but all these video conference protocols we use, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, Discord and so forth are based on the VOIP protocol. IP phones are quite common in business still. If you have NBN and a home phone it is almost certainly a VOIP phone. So VOIP is very much alive and kicking.
