Turn your grid paper so it lays flat and you can see a 8x5 grid (8 fives).
Make a longer pathway now that you have turned your grid paper.
Make a shorter pathway.
Place your grid paper this way
Let's look at some observations!
Changing the direction of your path

Verse 1
Sometimes I gotta wake up,
Sometimes I wanna walk out,
Sometimes I wanna do something different with my day.
Sometimes I wanna reach up,
Sometimes I wanna call out,
Sometimes life is directing me...another way.
Pre-chorus
A road can lead you far from home,
Who knows what you’ll find.
Follow the signs and take a new way,
Chorus
Life can be upside down,
Inside out and outside in.
Life can be back to front,
Front to back and round and round.
Life can be on your head,
Out of bed, that’s what I said.
That’s why you gotta make the most of ...The Good Times.
It’s better than just sitting back and waiting in line.
Verse 2
Sometimes I gotta work hard,
Sometimes I wanna do right,
Sometimes I gotta be smart and think of others too.
Sometimes I need to think straight,
Sometimes I need to shape up,
Sometimes life is directing me...another way.
Pre chorus
Dance all night and follow your dreams,
Travel the earth and keep it green.
Follow the signs and take a new way,
Well it’s better than just sitting back and just waiting in line.
Chorus x 2
Life can be upside down,
Inside out and outside in.
Life can be back to front,
Front to back, round and round.
Life can be on your head,
Out of bed, that’s what I said.
That’s why you gotta make the most of...The Good Times.
Challenge!
Think of another song that you might know about being happy or that reminds you of a good time you have had. For example, ‘If you’re happy and you know it’.
Sing that song and keep the beat.
Think of ways you can use the sound of your voice and use movement to show how you feel when you’re happy.
