NOTE: This unit is comprised of 3 separate projects; 1) The Coin Front, 2) The Coin Back, and 3) The Spinning Coin. Make sure to complete all three as they become available and turn them in via Google Classroom after you complete each one. Make sure your layers palette matches those in the rubric for all three projects. Also make sure all the animation frames match up as indicated in the "Spinning Coin" tutorial.
NOTE: This information will be on the test...
When creating digital artwork, a designer or artist needs to consider the final destination of the project. In other words what are your goals for the project? Do you want it to be printed out, or do you want it to just be viewed on the Internet? This project is intended to be viewed on the Internet. A good resolution for internet images is 72 dpi That is why the image was created with this resolution. A good resolution for printing images is 300 dpi
The two videos in this section make up the first project which is the coin front. When you complete the front turn it in to Google Classroom for your first grade on the unit. All three projects are on the same rubric, so make sure to compare your layers to that of the rubric's as well as other requirements specified on the rubric. Also remember to export the Coin Front as a PNG file to be used in the Spinnning Coin Animation.
The Coin Back is the second phase of the unit and the second project that you will turn in. When complete turn it in to Google Classroom for a grade. Make sure to export it as a PNG as well to use in the third and final project which is the Spinning Coin Animation. Pick an image that says something about you, such as a hobby or interest to use for the coin back.
If you need to you can download the Spinning Coin GIF and open it in Photopea to see how the layers are organized and labeled. Make sure that your project matches mine, so that you're not missing any layers and that it spins at the correct speed.
