Presentation Basic Info:
This year we will be having live exit presentations for students who are attempting to earn graduation recognition from the HHS Global Academy. Please see the directions below.
Create a presentation in Google Slides to document your 4 years in the Academy - see requirements for Certificate of Completion or Transcript Designation. Use the SAMPLE presentation to edit and add information - make it your own and make it pretty! This should be bullet points and photos - do not write out paragraphs as you shouldn't read sentences directly off the screen. TELL the panel about your experiences.
Why were you interested in the Global Academy in the first place and how has it helped you through your high school career?
Globally Focused Courses - include course names and highlights - images, assignments, projects - that impacted your understanding of the world
Specialization - include information on your different classes, why this focus impacted you, and how you plan to use this in the future
Global Collaboration & Dialogue - during your Capstone projects, in other courses, through skypes/zooms, guest speakers, and participating in other programs such as PYLP, Power of Perspective conference, or other experiences, how did these help you gain a greater perspective of the world? What did you learn about various topics, other groups, and yourself during this process?
Service Learning - How does your Capstone project or other projects throughout the years help with the service of others? What have you done in class (Write for Rights, Action Projects) or on your own that have helped you gain an understanding of how to help others sustainably?
Capstone Project - overview of question, artifact, and what learned. Include a link to your capstone project from the Global Academy website
If you did not do a capstone project, you can skip this slide. You will be eligible still for Certificate of Completion but not IGS or Global Academy transcript designation
If you started the capstone project, but did not finish, still include what you completed to show your completion of the course
Reflection Questions:
What have you gained from being involved in the Global Academy?
How has the Global Academy impacted your high school career or future?
How will you be a "global citizen" in the future?
Presenting and Submitting:
Presentations will be done in person on April 4th
You will have about 10 minutes! Practice before you present!
If you have links to any files (reflections on Global Collaboration or Service Learning), please attach to your presentation. Collaboration or Service Learning can be gained as a part of your Global Academy courses, other courses, outside activities or as a part of your Capstone project.
Include images or other media to highlight your coursework.
If you do have extracurricular activities to highlight please include them!
Presentations are due no later than Thursday April 4th to your presentation. These should be shared with Ms. Sharkey - make sure sharing settings are open so we can access it later!
This is a time for you to show off what you’ve done and be proud of what you were able to accomplish.
