Freshman

Do you have any expectations for high school?
"None yet because it is too early in the year."
How do you feel about school so far?
"It feels alright, the teachers are nice and there are a lot more privileges than at the middle school."
What are you looking forward to this year?
"Basketball and weightlifting."
Sophomore

“Stressful I guess.”
How does it feel to not be a freshman?
“Relieving because I know what to expect.”

“Homecoming.”

“Winter Wonderland dance.”
Junior

How does it feel to be back?
“It feels good to be back.”
How does it feel to not be a freshman?
“I feel great not being a freshman.”
What is one thing you are looking forward to this year?
“Lacrosse season.”

“HOCO and Prom.”
Senior

How does it feel to be back?
“No good.”
How does it feel to not be a freshman?
“The same as last year.”
What is one thing you are looking forward to this year?
“Graduating.”
What is one activity/dance/event that you want to see this year?
“Grad Bash.”
Homecoming!!!
Homecoming will be on October 2nd!!
Ticket sales will begin this week on August 31st until September 24th for $20.
Only 400 tickets will be sold (first come first serve)
Guest Forms can be picked up at the front desk
Tech fee must be paid in order to purchase HOCO tickets
Picture Day
Picture day is Friday, September 10th for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. Come looking your best and be ready for pictures on the 10th lower-classmen!
Testing & Meetings
Any student who is interested in taking/retaking any EOC, whether for grade improvement or scholar designation, needs to email Mrs. Hudson by September 10th. Retakes will take place in September and December only.
- There will be two Annual Title 1 Meetings this month on September 30th.

Sports Info
Volleyball
Our Varsity volleyball had a great game on August 26th against Kathleen High School with a score of 3-0.
The JV team came out 2-0 in a win against Auburndale High School on August 31st.
Our Spartan Football players had their first victory of the season against Avon Park High School on August 27th. The game was a close call, Discovery winning 34-28.
