Autism Awareness Month By: Vivian Frabotta
Autism Awareness Month is to help raise awareness of and educate people on autism. Autism is a spectrum, so not everyone with autism will appear the same or present with the same struggles. Just because someone is autistic doesn't mean they are less capable than someone who is not. People with autism are still intelligent and capable, they might just lack certain social, emotional, and/or communication skills.
Some people you might have heard of who are on the autism spectrum include: Tim Burton, Charles Darwin, Bill Gates, Michelangelo and Dan Aykroyd. No one can be certain, however it is guessed that Albert Einstein had autism as well.
