Topic 3: Harm that may be caused by transportation

To prevent accidents at home or on the road, one should focus particularly on the possibilities of traffic accidents, causing loss to life and property. Prevention can be achieved by implementation of necessary traffic rules. Everyone has the right to be safe.

Guidelines on the protection of accidents by transportation

1. Terms of travel

-Should study and follow traffic rules strictly.

- Should walkon the left side of the sidewalk.

- If there is no sidewalk, walk on right side of the road to see the oncoming traffic.

- Where an overpass orbridge is available, those should be used to cross the street.

- Do not scrambleover the fence or side planking alongside the road.

- If you have toleave the house at night, wear white orbright colors.

- The car shouldbe clearly visible.

2. The procedure of taking the bus

- Should wait for the bus at the bus stop.

- When entering or leaving the bus, wait for the bus to stop closeby.

- Do not scramble up and down the bus.

- Do not trespass on the side on the car, behind the car or on the roof, it could fall.

- Do not walkon the side of the car. Find a seat and sit on. If you stand, hold on to a solid anchor.

- Do not hang any partof the body out of the car.

- Do not distract the driver with provoking words and do not encourage careless driving.

3. The procedure of taking the train.

- Do not crushon or off the train.

- Do not trespasson the side of the car; siton the roof or on the window sill.

- Do not hang any partof the body out of the train.

- Do not walkor stand between locomotives.

-Stored luggage should not block the passage and be stored on the overhead compartment in a manner so that it may not fall down.

- Do not drink alcohol

- If there is an accident or incident but the train does not stop, the pull the signal chain in the carriage to inform the railway authorities.

4. The procedure of taking the boat

- When boarding or disembarking the boat, you have to wait for the ship to comoe to a complete stop. Hold on to the rail while boarding or disembarking.

-Find a seat to sit, do not climb the gunwales.

- Do not hang hands or feet in the water while on the boat.

- When frightened do not cluster or group together on one side of the boat because the ship might capsize.

- Know where the life wastes are stored in order to pick them up promptly when a boating accident happened.
