Cold Stone Creamery "Teachers Scoop" Night
Thank you for joining us at Cold Stone on Tuesday night! Our teachers and staff did an amazing job serving ice cream and we loved seeing you all there! Thank you for supporting the event!
2022 Fun Run
It was a bit warm on Wednesday, but that couldn't stop us from having our best Fun Run yet! A huge shout out to our event chair, Dina Briere, whose dedication, energy and creative genius made this amazing event a great success. A big thank you to her husband, Ryan Briere, for his resourcefulness and hard work in building our course, together with another amazing helper, Tyler Turley. A great THANK YOU to all the volunteers who participated yesterday and helped us bring the event to life, the awesome spectators who cheered our runners on and made them feel like Olympians, and last, but certainly not least, our wonderful teachers and staff who helped us all along. We couldn't do an event like this without all of your help and we are grateful for it.
The event itself may be done, but the fundraising continues! We are currently at 77% of our goal (as of 6pm on 9/1) and we need your help getting to 100% by 4pm on September 9th, so our students can enjoy some fun prizes on Prize Day (September 14th)! We are about $4,000 away from a school-wide Snow Cone and Root Beer Float Party and $14,000 from an Inflatable Party to be added to the celebration! Please help us reach our goal by donating to your student's account and reward them for the amazing work they did on the course.

Dear NRE Community -
I'm exhausted thinking about all the fun we had this week, and we hope you enjoyed it all too!
We started the week with the front office ladies reading to Mrs. Jacque's class. When I heard about them going into her class to read, it made my heart so happy. They each read a book on different days and talked about what they do in the office. The students got to ask questions and get to know them better so when they need to come to the office for any reason, it isn't so scary. I will tell you that Mrs. Laura, Mrs. Ashley, and Mrs. Caren LOVED it!
On Tuesday, we had NRE Cold Stone Creamery Night where we served our community ice cream, and man did you guys show up! We had a line the entire time and we could not serve you fast enough. I love watching the kids order their creations with smiles on their faces. My favorite comment was, "I didn't know you worked here!" Kids keeping me laughing. Cold Stone Creamery staff were so good to us, and they kept answering the million questions we had and giggling with us. I do love this night. A special thank you to Ms. G, Princess Liver and Onions, Ms. Davis, Techie Beckie, Mrs. Swanberg, Mrs, Strickland, Ms, Albaugh, Ms. McFarland, Mrs. Emerick, Mrs. Jacque, Ms. McKinzie, Señora Morgione, Lǎoshī Liúzhì, and Ms. Rust (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone).
Wednesday was a HUGE success thank you to our fabulous PTA and specifically Dita, Dina, and Ryan who helped for countless hours to make sure the Fun Run went off without a hitch. From the music to the course to the tent to the shirts, it was awesome! This was the first time we have had our PTA run the whole event so we could keep all the funds raised in house. I cannot believe we have already raised just over $50,000. We are almost at our goal and we cannot thank you enough.
I ran/walked with each grade level which came out to 7.7 miles and I am thankful my body still held up after 44 years. One of my favorite parts of the day was Graham running up to me and saying, "Mrs. Lynch, you can do it; keep going!" We have such supportive kids and adults. I love how many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, and friends came out to the event. Our SRO Deputy Dan even came out and help mark tags, did a little DJ-ing, helped with speakers and encouraged the participates; what a great event it was on a beautiful Colorado day. Thank you to all our volunteers throughout the day who braved the sun, scary afternoon clouds, and the numbers tent stakes. I look forward to our Fun Run Prize Day.
I hope you all enjoy your Labor Day weekend with your kid(s). I'm thankful for the extra day of to have with my family. I appreciate all the positivity you pour into NRE and into your children every day and I hope you have some down time this weekend to reflect how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful community with one another.
