Playground Safety Before/After School
Children must be supervised at all times. If you child is on the playground before or after school, you must be with them to supervise them. For the safety of all children, they must not be left alone to play on the playground before or after school.
The playground was built to bring people together and to accommodate for all students. We love that kids love the playground but we worry that if they are unsupervised, they may get hurt. During the Spring time, we often have some animal friends that like to visit our property and we would hate for kids to be visited by these animals without an adult supervising them.
Thank you for coming out for Wellness Night! We had such a great turnout and we loved having you here. Students learned about the variety of different kinds of wellness. Students did Yoga, snuggled with Andi, and made squeeze balls. There were lots of smiles to be had all around the gym.

Dear NRE Community,
The weeks are just flying by and 4-day weeks tend to be a little bit crazier and faster than others. We had a lot going on this week with iReady end of year testing, Girl Scout surprises, Wellnight Night, and finishing it up with In-N-Out Burger.
Wednesday morning we had a staff celebration with Clara and Maple who are Girl Scouts from Troop #8099. The Girl Scouts designated staff as their hometown heroes during cookie season. They had several people throughout cookie season who donated packages of cookies for hometown heroes and the girls presented our staff with boxes and boxes of cookies to say how much they appreciate all we do for kids. It was a great celebration and a wonderful reminder that we do make an impact in the lives of our students. The girls did a wonderful job of speaking in front of the whole staff. Below is a picture of staff that the girls have had over the years :)
Wellnight Night was also on Wednesday and Mrs. Hilton did such a nice job of setting it all up and getting all the vendors and presenters in. Mrs. Hilton's husband and two kids were even in attendance! We were so lucky to have so many families come out and join us with the activities. I bonded with Andi who is a therapy dog at another DCSD elementary school. We had past students come back to attend as well as future pronghorns running around the gym. We are lucky to have our community. Thanks to our volunteers to help us get it set up!
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week and we will be celebrating our entire staff because it truly takes every single person in our building to make our school great! We couldn't do what we do without all the layers of support for kids from education assistants to service providers to teachers to front office staff to Mr. Dean; each person carries an important job in our pronghorn family tree. If you could take a moment to thank a staff member, it means a ton!
19 days left in the school year. It's hard to believe that we are going to be down to the last month when we return next Monday. Please remind your children to finish strong, make good choices, and be kind to others. We know they all have summer fever but it's important to continue to show PRIDE behaviors and stay connected as a community.Thank you for taking the time to remind your children about this.
Sincerely,
Katie
