A message from the PTA President:
Welcome back students and staff!
PTA’s primary focus is to enhance our students' experience at NRE by providing funds for additional learning resources like online programs, classroom and specials supplies, books for teachers’ classrooms, teacher grants, field trip transportation grants, and many others. Our fundraising is an integral part of our existence, but we also organize community events to bring our families together, promote a sense of community and pride in our school. We are so excited to celebrate our school’s 40th anniversary this year and we hope to make this a year full of wonderful memories for our students and staff.
I hope you will join us, whether it is by joining our team, volunteering, or participating at our events, and help us make it our best year yet!
Dita Merritt, PTA president 2022-23

Douglas County School District recognizes the importance, shared responsibility, and partnership between family, schools, and community. Parental (including guardians and other members of the student’s family involved in the student’s education) involvement in the education of students contributes greatly to achievement, and to the positive school environment and experience. And an important piece of parent and family engagement is School Accountability Committees (SACs).
Our first SAC (School Accountability Committee) meeting is Friday, August 12th at 7:30am. We will have the option to meet in person in the library or virtually by Zoom. We hope you will join us

Dear NRE Community -
Welcome back to the first day of school for the 22-23 school year! We loved having so many families at our Back to School Night on Friday. We are ready for the school year and excited for all that we have planned.
Each Friday, I will send this blast out. The Weekly Blast contains all the important school information for the upcoming week and month. I try not to send a ton of emails so this one is really important. If you could browse through the blast and take out the information that you need for your child, I would appreciate it.
The slideshow from the administration presentation from Friday can be found here. We cannot wait meet all the new faces and welcome the returning faces.
Our first big school event is our Back to School Carnival that PTA puts on and it's a really fun time. Please look for more communication about this event in this Friday's Weekly Blast.
Welcome back!
~Katie Lynch
Principal of NRE
