This mural, painted on the wall of the main Northfield Middle & High School lobby, greets students and guests alike as they enter our school and gymnasium. This updated variant of our school mascot was designed and painted by Lynn Haley, Elyza Lamson, and Brittany Habel with the support of the art teacher, Eric Howard, as part of the second annual YES, or Year End Studies program at NMHS. Groups of students elected to enrich and beautify the school with student created art and designs. The female marauder is particularly meaningful because it provides greater representation for half of our student body and our girls sport teams.
Furthermore, this mural was dedicated by the student artists to Mary Sue Crowley, our retiring assistant principal, who was a paragon and incredible female remodel and pillar of support in our school community.
