On the first Wednesday of each month, the people of Women of Vision come together and help the community. From putting together bags of everyday utilities, to donating books to kids who need them, they use their lunch period to talk about what they could do to help others. When they’re done, guest speakers talk about their experiences through school and where they are in life, giving advice to the next generation.

This year they are coming together and donating books to a charity, giving kids a chance to learn to read and open their minds to different genres like fantasy and fiction. Not only does learning this skill help with the life ahead of them, the different and creative stories let them think of what they want to be in life, and open a creative pathway. Each kid gets a letter written by one of the members with each book, encouraging words in each of them.

After writing, guest speakers come up and tell the members about their experiences throughout school, college, and jobs, giving their best advice to each of them. Some of them share their struggles on their journey to where they are now, but explain how it all was worth it.
