Research

5.13 C and 5.13E were covered in the 3rd grading period during the Argumentative unit. Sixth grade will cover a Research Unit in the 2nd grading period. All elements of TEKS will be covered in 6th grade, however, the rigor of research TEKS increases from 5th to 6th grade. Teachers will need to be familiar with the increased expectations from 5th to 6th and plan to address needs of the class in small groups or mini-lessons as appropriate.
